A petite lab is a full-blooded AKC registered lab, size medium. A female weighs 40-45 lbs and a male weighs 50-60 lbs. For many people, a smaller dog is easier to handle, easier to lift and they take up less room. The Petite Lab is a midsize dog rather than a large dog and more delicate than a full size lab. They have the same sweet temperament and because of their smaller size they are often easier to handle than a full size lab.
